My name is Becky and I am a mother and part-time teacher. I am British and I live in the South East of England but I help families all over the world.
‘When it comes to sleep, there is no one size fits all magical solution that suits everyone. My methods are highly successful because they are bespoke and tailored to each unique family.’
‘I am passionate about bringing replenishing and restful sleep to families in a way that is loving, gentle and responsive.’
Like so many other mums, I have faced many challenges with my daughter, Amelia, not least of which was sleep deprivation. By the time I returned to work, my little firework was taking upwards of two hours to settle to sleep, was breastfed throughout the night and refused to allow anyone other than me to settle her.
I tried everything I could to get her to sleep: I scoured the internet, read books and listened to the advice of health visitors, nursery key workers, friends and family. But nothing seemed to work for Amelia. Eventually, I gave up trying to improve our situation. It was at this point that my luck changed. I stumbled across ‘The Sleep Nanny’ and my life was transformed!
Working with my Sleep Nanny was key to our sleep success. Once I had the support and guidance I needed, everything fell into place. The whole process sparked a passion inside me and I knew I wanted to help other families like mine. Before I knew it, I was training with the Sleep Nanny Academy and I haven’t looked back.
As a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant, I am passionate about bringing replenishing and restful sleep to families in a way that is loving, gentle and responsive. Supporting families, especially sleep deprived mums suffering the dreaded “Mum Guilt”, is a joy that comes with the work I do.
I know how it feels to want to make everything right for your little one but not know how. As a mother who has walked in your shoes, I can tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. There is a solution to your family’s sleep disturbance and I can help you to find it!
I approach every family differently because every family, and every child, is different. Unlike the information found online, in books and from “This works for my child…” conversations, I will take the time to get to know you and your child before formulating an approach that suits your family.
When it comes to sleep, there is no one size fits all magical solution that suits everyone. My methods are highly successful because they are bespoke and tailored to each unique family.
I do not subscribe to the widely misunderstood opinion that sleep training is a cruel and distressing process, or one in which your child is left to cry themselves to sleep. While this “Cry It Out” style of sleep training does exist, it is not a style I am an advocate of.
I know that within the broad spectrum of sleep training, there are methods sitting at either end of the scale that are equally damaging to sleep. But I also know that there is a wealth of methods that sit in the middle of these two extremes, which are gentle, safe and effective.
I welcome those who are feeling skeptical to get in touch with me. It’s ok to ask questions. I appreciate that you may not truly believe that I can help you. Remember, I’ve been where you are and I did wonder whether my daughter would be the “one who can’t be helped”. But allow me to reassure you, I have yet to meet a child for whom my methods did not work.
I have one mission: to equip families with the confidence, skills and ‘know-how’ to achieve replenishing sleep. So get in touch with me today to start your sleep training journey.
